The sockliner includes a handwritten “21,” which acknowledges the changes made to the 2020 Olympics. The medial swoosh commemorates the 50th anniversary of the swoosh design by intertwining the original swoosh outline with the current version. All of these elements combine to create an aesthetic that celebrates and recognizes the unique moment of the 2020 Olympics.
